The Silex² development is one of the central iconic constructions of La Part-Dieu’s architectural heritage. This unusual programme, based on a concept of architectural “grafting”, fits into the district well.
Keeping some of the principles of the Silex¹ project, the Silex² program reinvents the tower concept by proposing two buildings, one of which with 23 floors. Innovative and connected, this office building provides a range of premium services marrying comfort of lifestyle and work. The development has a strong green identity, in the form of 1,700 m² terraces. Designed by the offices of Ma Architectes and Arte Charpentier, Silex² develops performance through smart management of resources and energy use. Certified HQE Excellent and BREEAM Excellent, the property development restores the old EDF tower, while providing completely new functions, whether at the heart of the building, via a panel of services dedicated to the residents, or through active uses that open the development up to the city.
The contemporary design of a hybrid object that integrates Zumbrunnen’s architecture, but is nonetheless architecturally coherent.
