The modern sculptural Sky 56 is a 13-storey building with an unusual programme, in which services shops and offices are combined.
An iconic building, Sky 56 rises up at the end of Nelson Mandela Esplanade, marking a new gateway to the south of the district. The Sky 56 is a curved 14-floor building of 30,000 m² made of glass and steel. Shared active use is present on the first 2 floors and 12 floors are dedicated to open plan offices and also services. On each level, 200 employees enjoy modular workspaces and four terraces with a view of the city. This first high-rise building designed in South Part-Dieu epitomizes the value of coproduction with property developers, and public and private stakeholders. It provides open public spaces and is multifunctional. It also represents a new quality of workspace in Part-Dieu. This has been endorsed by the “Well” building certification.
Each volume dances, soars up and reaches out for freedom in its own distinctive movement.
